Okurcalar is a neighborhood of Alanya district of Antalya province.
On March 14, 1995, it became a town with the status of municipality. It became a neighborhood with the law numbered 6360, which was accepted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly on 12 November 2012.
It is a 62 km long, fast-flowing stream that flows into the Mediterranean between the districts of Manavgat and Alanya. It takes its source from the Akdağ and Kuşak mountains of the Central Taurus Mountains at an altitude of 2,647; It mixes with the sea in a pebbly area formed from the soil it brings with it. In the past, there were many water mills on this stream.
The nose, which consists of an indentation of about one kilometer towards the sea, was named Karaburun. At the same time, the area where the nose is located is called Karaburun. There is a beautiful bay from the west side of the cape towards the sea. There is an island about 300 meters inland in the bay, which has a beautiful beach. There are many touristic activities such as daily yacht tours, water sports, diving activities. This bay has hosted many sailor communities in history. There are many historical ruins left on the beach.
